Dr. Susan Williams (Stagg-Williams)

Susan Williams (Stagg-Williams) graduated with a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1994 and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1999. She joined KU as an Assistant Professor in 1999 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2006, and Professor in 2013. Dr. Williams is currently the Charles E. & Mary Jane Spahr Professor and Chair of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering. She is also the Faculty Athletics Representative for KU. She has held this position since 2013 and she represents KU to the Big XII and NCAA . Dr. Williams and her husband Michael have two children, Samantha and Michael. She is actively involved in the community and is an avid sports fan.
